Shay
Hi! My name is Shay. I’ve been working at the day care for a little over a year and a half and I’m currently working on achieving my Early Childhood Educator Assistant. I’m in grade 12 so after school I work with the after school program and I plan on working for the day care full time after I graduate. In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball and spending time with my friends and family.

My name is Leigh Clarke l have my ECE assistant certification, an will be continuing courses to get my full ECE hopefully within the next year or so, I started working as an ECE about 9 months ago and absolutely love working with children of all ages!

Hi! I'm Devyn Young. I am a qualified ECE Assistant. I have been working at Little Horizons Full time since I graduated high school in June 2018. When I'm not working, I like to spend sewing, Painting, going on trips, and spending time with family and friends.
Mindy
My name is Mindy. My family and I moved to Smithers from Manitoba in 2019. I received my Early Childhood Education degree from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB in 2001. Since then I have worked in all areas of child care as well as working in the public school system as a special education assistant. I truly love working with children and feel privileged to spend my time sharing their joy as they grow and learn with the amazing staff of Little Horizons!

hi, my name is Adrienne.
i started working at Little horizons in 2018. I am a certified ECE and currently working towards my Infant and toddler. I absolutely love my job and working with children. i am a mom to a beautiful baby girl. In my spare time, i enjoy walking my dogs, working on our family farm and being with my family. I am very thankful for all my wonderful co-workers and the amazing children.

Hello, I'm Emily and I have completed my ECE assistant course! I have worked for Little horizons for about 4 months now and I've had a blast! I love the kids and watching then learn and grow. It's been such a privilege spending time doing what I love with such amazing people!

Hi I'm Michelle. I started little horizons which was formally known as bright beginnings in 2015. I have 5 children of my own and daycare has always been my passion. I recently finished my infant, toddler, and special needs programs. I enjoy coming to work every day and appreciate all of our families and the amazing staff.

Hi I’m Kelsey, I’ve lived in the Bulkley Valley my whole life and am a Mom to two boys. I’ve been working at the daycare since July 2019 and am working towards my full ECE certificate. As office manager you’ll usually find me in the office taking care of invoices and registration but enjoy taking time away to play with the kids.

Hi my name is Braelyn, I started working at little horizons last year. I am a certified ECE assistant and plan to continue to take my full ECE. l really enjoy working at little horizons and seeing all the amazing kids and staff everyday. In my spare time I enjoy socializing with friends and family.

Hello, my name is Amy and I have been working with children in different settings for more than 15 years. I was born and raised in the Bulkley Valley. My family and I recently moved back to Smithers after being in Alberta for 10 years. In Alberta I became a mom to two boys and also worked as a Child Protection Social Worker for 6 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Child and Youth Care and an Early Childhood Educator diploma with Infant & Toddler and Special Needs certification. Being a part of Little Horizons has brought me so much joy in watching and aiding to the growth and development of so many unique children.

Hi, my name is Paige Blackburn. I am and Early Childhood Education Assistant and I started working at the little horizons just over a year ago. During the day before I go to the daycare I am at school finishing Grade 12. I am planning on working at the daycare after I graduate as well. Other than going to school when I am not at the daycare I enjoy playing volleyball and hanging out with my friends and family.

I'm Danielle Weme. I've been working here at Little Horizons since Sept 2018. I have my ECE assistant and am working on my further education. I do the afterschool pick ups and often am the driver for field trips. Outside of work I enjoy reading and crocheting and hanging out with my family

Hi! I’m Deneen Morgan. I’m a mother to two sweet amazing and wild boys. Importantly my friends would describe me as easy going, a good listener and organized. I’m currently working on my full Early Childhood Educator. I love to be social and being able to work with infants and young children is something I enjoy everyday and look forward to! xx

I’m a fully certified Early Childhood Educator and a mom of two gorgeous girls and a stepmom of two handsome boys. I love my job and each and every child within our program. Although I know I’m not their mother - my role is just as strong. I nurture them and keep them safe, though maybe not for long. There will be a day that we will have to part but know each child I’ve cared for holds a big piece of my heart. ❥
